Our Mission

The mission of Mahomet Area Youth Club is to encourage and train

young people to develop their talents to their full potential and to

become responsible, productive citizens.

MAYC Profile

Mahomet Area Youth Club is a non-profit organization located

in Mahomet, Illinois. We serve the youth in the area from ages

6 to 18. We have five core areas: Character and Leadership

Development, Life Skills, Health & Nutrition, Creative Arts &

Expression, Sports and Recreation. MAYC receives funding from

the United Way of Champaign County, the MAKE foundation

(Mahomet Area Kids Endowment), individual donations, community

organizations and fundraising events. MAYC currently provides

after-school programming and activities for an average of

100 children per month from the Mahomet-Seymour area.

    Thank you very much for your support and for making a difference in the lives of over 100 children a month!  The Wish List for MAYC is: 

 

Volunteers! 

    If you like working with children and would like to help out at MAYC between 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm as a program monitor or computer lab supervisor, please contact Mary Vita, Bryan or Marcius at 590-2860 or 586-6323.

Small disposable cups

Finger paint

Cleaning sponges with scrubbing pads

Computer mouse

Helmets, knee pads & elbow pads for the skate park

Boy-sized in-line skates for the skate park

Brooms, mops and washable/reusable mop heads

Garbage bags – all sizes!

 

Food Items

Fresh Fruit – apples, oranges, bananas

Milk

Beverage mixes – hot chocolate

          Frozen pizzas, pizza rolls
